BURNT HILLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- After finishing as the runner-up to Columbia in Class AA a season ago, the Niskayuna girls soccer team has re-tooled, and looks to be the team to beat in AA this year.
That was quickly made apparent when Nisky recorded a season-opening, 2-1 victory over the defending champion Blue Devils. In the weeks that followed, they rattled off three wins against Class AAA squads, including perennial AAA power Shenendehowa.
Midway through the season, Niskayuna's resume speaks for itself. But not all elements of a championship-caliber squad can be determined through a win-loss record, such as an ability to handle and overcome adversity.
