ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) -- The UAlbany men's basketball program took a huge step forward last year, playing a playoff game at home for the first time since 2018. This year's team is looking to take it even further.

UAlbany held its first official practice Monday. The Great Danes beat Binghamton at home in the quarterfinals last year, but got bounced by Bryant in the semifinals. UAlbany returns four players from last year and brought in nine transfers including Yaya Keita, a 6'9" center from Oklahoma, and Will Richardson, a guard from Fordham.
