A swim competition that honors the memory of a slain Gaston County child will help fund a youth swimmer who needs financial help.

The relay

The Ripple Effect Relay Festival will be held Oct. 5 at Gardner Acres Swim Club from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Swimmers will compete in groups of four.
