Judge seeks deal in fight over Gannon Center at public library

A legal showdown over whether Erie County improperly leased part of its main library to Gannon University could be averted — if a judge’s push for a settlement is heeded.

At a Sept. 18 pre-trial conference, Judge James Arner pressed for a compromise to resolve a lawsuit filed by citizen group Keep Our Library Public against the county and Gannon.
