COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State Highway Patrol is showing off its newest cruiser. But don’t expect to see it in your rear-view mirror if you get caught speeding.
The Dodge Challenger Hellcat, a high-performance vehicle now emblazoned with Ohio State Highway Patrol graphics, was seized through a court-ordered criminal forfeiture.
The muscle car was not purchased from a dealership, the patrol said in a social media post. It was obtained from a case involving criminal activity. The patrol noted that seizing vehicles helps disrupt activities such as title fraud, repeat OVI offenses, and drug trafficking.
The Hellcat will now be used for a different purpose, according to the patrol. It is planned to be displayed at community events across Ohio.
