Year two for the Mt. Hope High School boys' soccer team under the direction of head coach Tucker Shepard isn't quite going as its predecessor or was thought to occur to date in 2025, but what's most important for the Huskies and their mentor is how they finish the season later this fall.

Mt. Hope is off to a 1-3-3 start to its season. The Division II-Huskies have played a mixture of teams from within its ranks and from D-I as part of the Interscholastic League's power points system used to determine playoff position at the end of the regular season.

The middling beginning to 2025 can be chalked up to a couple of things. Mt. Hope is still trying to find cohesion after the loss of a few key components from last year's club and is doing so while dealing with injuries to a hand
