CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A man was arrested for bringing a Glock onto the Charlotte light rail platform on Tuesday afternoon, according to court records.

Jail records showed 28-year-old Thomas Paul was issued a $2,500 bond and charged with possession of a dangerous weapon on city property.

What happened

The encounter reportedly occurred Tuesday, Sept. 16, on the light rail platform at the East/West Boulevard station in South End.

Police said they received reports of an armed person in the area and, upon arrival, found Paul, who matched the caller’s description. According to reports, he had a gun tucked into his waistband, along with pepper spray and handcuffs.
