The Missouri resident who won half of the September 6 $1.78 billion Powerball jackpot anonymously broke his silence, calling the massive payday the "best problem" he's ever had.

The lottery player claimed his prize, a one-time payment of an estimated $410.3 million, at the Missouri lottery headquarters in Jefferson City on Monday (September 22), having become the richest champion in the state's history.

“I’m going to just do me for a year,” the winner said, adding that he’s looking forward to spending time with his wife, who now also plans to reduce her workload as a result of the win.
