LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Police surrounded a 7-Eleven store in Long Beach Tuesday morning after a robbery suspect barricaded themselves inside.
The incident started around 2 a.m. on Pine Avenue at Broadway after officers were alerted about a person with a gun, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Investigators believe the man robbed the store before employees were able to run out and flag down officers.
The suspect stayed inside the store and refused to surrender to authorities.
At least one SWAT armored vehicle was seen outside the convenience store.
Several streets in the area were closed due to the police activity.
