Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday announced that Vande Bharat sleepers have been tested and are ready.

"We are planning to launch two trains together. We are waiting for the second one to be manufactured, which is expected to arrive by October 15. Since it’s a daily service, we are waiting for the second rake of the sleeper," he said, during a press conference.

He hinted that the new rollout of the Vande Bharat sleepers would likely happen after October 15, after the second train is manufactured.

Reports said that the Vande Bharat sleeper has been fitted with modern interiors and improved safety features. The train, which is equipped with world-class amenities, will cover the distance between Delhi and Patna in just 11 hours. Right now, the train takes anywhere between 12-17
