A nonprofit advocacy group backed by Democratic Gov. Maura Healey and Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll has launched a $250,000 online advertising blitz focusing on a trio of housing-related issues.
Until now, the group One Commonwealth, which does not have to disclose its donors, mostly has focused on local zoning debates, according to the political newsletter, MASSterList, which was first to report the news .
The new online advertisements will focus on the Democratic administration’s recent successes on housing issues, including a ban on the pricey brokers’ fees that can add thousands of dollars to the cost of renting an apartment.
The ads also focus on the administration’s $5 billion housing bond bill , which lawmakers passed, and Healey signed into law, last year.
