India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced further withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab. The withdrawal line has now shifted across Tarn Taran, Sangrur, Jind, Rewari, Tonk, Mahesana, and Porbandar, marking the transition towards the retreating monsoon season. At the same time, fresh weather systems over the Bay of Bengal are expected to bring widespread rainfall over several regions of East, Central, and South India in the coming days.

Monsoon Withdrawal Update

According to IMD, conditions are becoming favourable for the withdrawal of monsoon from more parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir within the next 2–3 days.
