The company conducting a reassessment of real estate properties across Nelson County is in the final stage of the process and presented an update to the county board of supervisors on Sept. 9.

Gary Eanes, of Wampler-Eanes Appraisal in Daleville, said company representatives have enjoyed their trips to Nelson looking at properties as part of the reassessment process.

“It’s a beautiful county and the guys enjoy being here,” Eanes told the board. “It’s one of my favorites.”

By the end of the year, the company will have completed 167 reassessments for 54 various localities across Virginia and North Carolina, totaling 2.8 million-plus properties, he said.
