KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation will be doing intermittent lane closures on I-275 starting Tuesday, ahead of a complete closure over the weekend.

The lane closures on I-275 over Elm Street and Bernard Avenue will start Tuesday, September 23, through Thursday, September 25.

The closures will take place nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. The closures will allow crews to remove portable barrier railing and to prepare the median barrier wall for texture coating.

I-275 will be completely closed at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 26 and will end by 6 a.m. on Monday, September 29.
