Cleveland Clinic plans to expand its Bayesian Health’s AI platform to detect for sepsis across its hospitals in Ohio and Florida in 2025.  The platform is already in use at 13 Cleveland Clinic hospitals. A pilot at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital included more than 3,330 patients in 2024 and early 2025. Compared to legacy tools, the pilot showed a tenfold decrease in false alerts, a 46% increase in identified cases, and a sevenfold rise in cases alerted before antibiotic administration, according to a Sept. 23 news release.

The tool integrates with EHR and analyzes real-time clinical data to identify patients at risk of developing sepsis. The health system said it helped clinicians detect sepsis earlier and initiate timely treatment. Cleveland Clinic also plans to co-develop new AI mod
