Ford is planning to move its world headquarters for the first time in nearly 70 years, the New York Post reports.

The American automaker announced plans to move from its 'Glass House' location in Dearborn, Michigan, to a new site just a few miles away, which is set to open in November as part of a move that's scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2026. The current 'Glass House' headquarters building, which was built in 1956, will be demolished over the course of an 18-month span.

“This is more than just a new building; it’s a catalyst for innovation and a physical symbol of our Ford+ transformation,” said Bill Ford and Jim Farley in a letter to employees obtained by the New York Post . “To win in this new era, we must work more closely together than ever before.”
