The fifth week of Iowa high school football in 2025 is quickly approaching.
There were some exciting games in Week 4, headlined by Class 4A No. 1 Pella defeating No. 3 North Polk, 19-15, in a rematch of last year's 4A championship game. Johnston, ranked No. 7 in 5A, upset No. 2 Iowa City Liberty, 27-24, No. 4 Ankeny earned a big rivalry win over Ankeny Centennial by a 29-15 score and No. 3 Dowling Catholic cruised past No. 10 and four-time defending 5A state champion Southeast Polk, 45-14.
Week 5 also offers a slew of games that promise to be exciting.
The top games of Week 5 on Sept. 26 include No. 1 Waukee Northwest hosting Des Monies East for homecoming, No. 2 West Des Moines Valley going on the road to face Indianola, No. 3 Dowling Catholic hosting Waterloo West, No. 4 Ankeny hos
