Elderly residents at one of Scotland's largest care homes were left crying out for help, soaked in urine and terrified during basic personal care, a shocking undercover investigation has revealed. ‌

Described as a luxury facility, Castlehill Care Home in Inverness costs up to £,1800 per week and has beds for 88 people. ‌

The home has been branded "cruel" and "neglectful" by families after BBC Disclosure sent a journalist inside posing as a cleaner. ‌

For seven weeks, the journalist witnessed shocking scenes including pensioners with dementia who were left sitting in wet clothes or lying in soiled bedsheets for hours at a time.
