RECTOR, Ark. (KAIT) - A Tuesday morning fire destroyed a downtown Rector flower shop.

Police Chief Kelly Baker told K8 News he received word of a fire at The Copper Rose, located at the corner of Main Street and West Third, around 7 a.m. Sept. 23.

When he arrived at the scene at 7:05, Baker said the building was fully engulfed.

Despite the best efforts of the Rector Fire Department, the police chief said they were unable to save the building.
