Speaking to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Monday night, former vice president Kamala Harris waded into Mobile’s mayoral race, describing Barbara Drummond as a “star” candidate of the Democratic Party before voters head to the polls.

The woman who ran for president against Donald Trump in 2024 and was former president Joe Biden’s vice president told Maddow that widely-known New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is not the only Democratic hopeful to whom voters should pay attention.
