The American Telemedicine Association has launched an enhanced Digital Infrastructure Score and mapping tool to assess digital health readiness at the ZIP code and county levels. The platform combines data on broadband access, internet speeds, device availability and affordability to generate a weighted score that reflects a community’s ability to adopt virtual care and digital health services, according to a Sept. 16 news release from the organization. Users can view results on a heat map interface and examine contributing factors for analysis, policy planning or funding proposals.
The ATA said the tool is designed to support hospitals, health plans and policymakers in identifying gaps, guiding broadband investments and advancing health equity. The post Telemedicine group launches tool
