JEFFERSON COUNTY — A Jefferson County tradition that has drawn visitors for nearly five decades will return this fall when the Mountain Heritage Arts and Crafts Festival opens this weekend, Sept. 26-28, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
Now in its 49th year, the festival is recognized as one of the top judged arts events in the country. Each day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., more than 160 juried artists and craftspeople from over 20 states will showcase their work, ranging from fine art and photography to woodworking, jewelry, textiles, pottery, and more. Many of the artisans will demonstrate their craft on site, giving visitors a chance to see the creative process firsthand.
