If you are looking for a nice rain, some of you will be delighted, and some of you will be sorely disappointed. Here’s what you should know today in our Michigan weather world.

1. Rain Pattern Developing in Southeast Michigan

A storm system currently over the Midwest (Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming) is moving northeast and will bring rainfall primarily to the southeast half of Michigan. Showers will develop this evening (5-7 PM) from Saginaw down through Ann Arbor and the Detroit area. Some locations could see up to an inch of precipitation, with most areas receiving a quarter to half inch. The heaviest concentration will be from Ann Arbor to Detroit and into the Thumb region.
