More than 40 protesters were arrested near the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday morning as President Trump prepared to address dignitaries from across the globe.
The protesters, many wearing yellow reflective vests , were taken into custody after they conducted sit-ins near Third Ave. and E. 46th St. and E. 42nd St. and Second Ave. in an attempt to block traffic toward the UN, officials said.
The protesters were demonstrating for various causes, but were unified in their anti-Trump stance as they screamed “No Trump! No KKK!” and held up signs reading “Trump does not speak for us.”
