During “ The Gee and Ursula Show ” on KIRO Newsradio, co-hosts Gee Scott and Ursula Reutin discussed the growing skepticism surrounding the value of a college education, following a Gallup poll revealing that only one in three Americans now considers college “very important,” a sharp decline from 75% 15 years ago.
Ursula cited U.S. Census data showing that college graduates earn nearly twice as much as high school graduates. She argued that a degree still opens doors and teaches essential life skills such as critical thinking and communication.
“If I were advising my kids now, I’d still say go to college, but go in with your eyes open,” Ursula said.
