Tuesday night's Cambridge city council meeting will be held virtually "to ensure a safe and respectful environment," the city announced Monday afternoon.

It comes after the city says there was an "incident" on Monday "involving a disruptive member of the public." Details of what took place were not provided by the city.

Const. Brad Hickey, a public information officer with the Waterloo Regional Police Service, said officers were not called to city hall, but police were made aware of a threatening voicemail from a member of the community. Security told police they were placing city hall in hold and secure around noon on Monday.
