SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A suspect has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to the 2022 deadly shooting for a Springfield man.

Payton North, spokesperson for the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, said that 38-year-old Brandon Murray of Springfield pleaded guilty in Hampden Superior Court to three separate indictments in connection with the death of 30-year-old David Carrasquillo of Springfield.

In the late-night hours of May 29, 2022, Springfield Police received several 911 calls reporting shots fired at Club Saga on Worthington Street. When officers arrived, they found Carrasquillo lying outside the men’s bathroom suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
