Goaltender Joseph Woll has taken a leave of absence from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Leafs announced on Tuesday that the 27-year-old will be away from the team to attend to a personal matter.
“There is no timeline (for Woll’s return),” Leafs general manager Brad Treliving said. “We obviously support him 100% and I would just ask that everybody respect his privacy. We’re not going to get into a whole lot of detail on it.

“For context, it’s not a substance abuse issue. It’s a personal, family matter that Joe is going to deal with and we will go from there.”
Treliving wouldn’t provide further detail.
