Daniel Bannister, who stalked Girls Aloud star Cheryl, has been jailed for 12 months after breaching his restraining order.

The 50-year-old convicted killer was arrested after turning up at the singer’s home for the fourth time.

Judge Alan Blake at Reading Crown Court in Buckinghamshire sentenced Bannister to a year behind bars and told him ‘she does not wish any contact with you’.

He has previously spent time in prison for breaching the restraining order but reportedly ‘can’t stay away’ from Cheryl, 42.

The judge told him: ‘She does not wish any contact with you and you are causing her anxiety.
