RIPLEY COUNTY, Mo. (KAIT) - A man and his two daughters lost their lives in an early Tuesday morning house fire.

Ripley County Sheriff Ray Talburt told K8 News the fire was reported around 3 a.m. at a home on State Highway 142 East.

He said Chad Vandergriff and two of his daughters died in the fire.

The children’s mother, Tabitha Vandergriff, and a son were hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

Talburt said about 30 Ripley County Fire Department firefighters responded to the scene.

The fire is under investigation.
