LAKE COUNTY — Betsy K. McIntyre, 69, of Irons, was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison for the second-degree murder of her husband, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced.
According to a Sept. 23 news release, Lake County Probate Judge David Glancy handed down the sentence Monday in the 27th Circuit Court after McIntyre pleaded guilty in August to one count of second-degree murder. She was originally charged by the Lake County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of her husband.
