Giants coach Brian Daboll has one card left to play — Jaxson Dart .

Getting progress out of Dart, a first-round rookie quarterback, for the balance of this season is the only way Daboll sticks around for 2026.

Daboll is 0-3 this year, after going 3-14 and 6-11 the past two seasons. He is 1-14 in his last 15 games. That’s all worthy of a firing.

Daboll is considering benching Russell Wilson , who has stunk, in favor of Dart. Which maybe, just maybe, will wind up saving Daboll, though only if Dart looks good down the stretch, whenever he starts.

But let’s say the Giants fire Daboll, which is certainly possible. (And yes, general manager Joe Schoen would go out the door with him.)
