Janet Lou Osborne Petersen passed away peacefully September 21, 2025. She was born in Rexburg Idaho to loving parents, Steve and Juanita Osborne. She was raised in Ashton, Idaho and was the youngest of 7 children.

She married James Petersen, later divorced. They are the parents of Audrey (Mike), Cliff (Lori), Arthur (Rebecca), Carmie (Craig), Jacob (Konae) and Jared (Launi).

Janet recently celebrated her 80th birthday. She had a lifetime of illness and health problems, but was tough and determined to the end. She loved music, teaching, Scrabble and had a great sense of humor. She taught school in Illinois, Idaho and Utah and many piano lessons. She served faithfully in many callings over the years, mostly in music. She is loved by many and will
