After an extensive investigation, the Tyendinaga Police Service, in partnership with the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, announced early Tuesday they will be executing search warrants relating to illegal cannabis production, according to a social media post.
Police said that during the operation there will be a significant police presence to preserve public safety and apprehend those responsible.
“The public may encounter restricted areas of containment. Although every effort will be made to secure the affected areas, there is potential for suspects to evade police. We request that members of the public do not approach these individuals and report to police by calling 9-1-1,” the post read.
