Former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees will join ESPN's "First Take" once a week for the remainder of the NFL season, Barrett Media reported on Monday.

According to the report, Brees will be a featured contributor each Tuesday during the NFL season, placing him on the same stage with Stephen A. Smith as part of the premier TV sports talk show.

A former NFC South rival of Brees, Cam Newton, has been working in a similar role on "First Take" since August.

After leaving NBC following one season as an NFL studio analyst following the 2021 season, Brees has seen his opportunities in broadcasting increase this year. He'll be an analyst for an NFL game for Netflix on Christmas Day and he filled in as a guest analyst for Fox this past week.
