PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) is offering funding opportunities for farmers under two safety programs in light of National Farm Safety and Health Week, which runs Sept. 21-27. The Grain Storage Facility Safety Grant and the Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) Rebate Program are intended to enhance on-farm safety. “The risks grain farmers face every day are very real,” said MDA Commissioner Thom Petersen. “The Grain Storage Facility Safety Grant helps farmers make critical upgrades that protect themselves, their families, and their employees.
