FRENCH leader Emmanuel Macron was left stranded in New York when his car was blocked by Donald Trump's motorcade - before he called the US President for help.

A bizarre video shows Macron phoning Trump jokingly asking him to "clear the road" after leaving the UN headquarters on Monday.

The French President was heard arguing with a police officer when his car was blocked by traffic.

The NYPD cop can be heard telling Macron: "I'm really sorry, Mr President, everything is frozen ."

But Macron then appears to take matters into his own hands and calls Trump himself.

While waiting in the traffic, the French leader is seemingly heard saying to Trump: "Hey, how are you? Guess what, I am waiting in the street because everything is frozen for you, ha!"
