LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An escaped inmate from Ohio was found hiding in Louisville, Kentucky after he was on the run for nearly a week.
The FBI took Jerry Lee Cooper into custody after a multi-state manhunt. Cooper is accused of attempted murder.

Law enforcement officials say Cooper and another man, Roy Butler, broke a window at the Brown County Adult Detention Facility in Ohio and scaled a fence to escape.
Butler was captured less than a day later, but Cooper remained on the run for more than five days. Authorities described him as armed and dangerous, and there were multiple sightings of him reported.
