CLOVER, S.C. (WBTV) - Authorities dismantled a barbershop drug operation in York County earlier this month, seizing more than 16 pounds of drugs and making several arrests.
During a press conference on Tuesday, Sept. 23 , the sheriff announced that at least 10 suspects, all accused of being part of an organized group, had been charged in connection with the operation.

Detectives said the entire drug operation was run through a barbershop/convenience store along Kings Mountain Street in Clover.
The nearly 8-month investigation stemmed from community complaints of drug activity and violent crime in the area. Deputies said that their operation intensified after a shooting during a children’s baseball game at Roosevelt Park.
