Last season, the Cowboys ’ title hopes went down with Dak Prescott . Fresh off his record-setting four-year, $240 million extension on September 8, 2024, the QB looked ready to lead Dallas deep into the playoffs. He started strong, throwing 179 yards and a touchdown in the opener, then 379 yards and two TDs in Week 3. But in week 9, disaster struck. Prescott tore part of his right hamstring. Surgery ended his season. He finished 2024 with just 1,978 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and eight interceptions, while the Cowboys limped to a 3–5 record.
