Agartala, 23 rd September 2025: North Tripura police arrested a youth with 8,395 Yaba tablets worth approximately Rs 40 lakh during a raid in the Churaibari area this evening. The operation, led by SP Avinash Rai, was part of the state’s ongoing efforts to build a drug-free Tripura under Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s initiative.

Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a suspicious motorcycle bearing registration number KA05JX7852 at Gazarbil Para, Baghan Gram Panchayat, and detained Komor Uddin (45), a resident of Kathaltoli Bazar, Assam. The contraband was found packed in 43 packets.
