NEW YORK (PIX11) — The New York Giants are shifting gears to rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers, according to multiple reports.

NFL insiders Adam Schefter, Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday afternoon that the first-rounder out of Ole Miss will be under center for Big Blue.

The switch at QB comes off the back of a stagnant performance by Russell Wilson and the Giants' offense on Sunday night in a 22-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wilson threw two interceptions in the loss after a turn-back-the-clock style game against the Dallas Cowboys in week two, where he passed for 450 yards and three touchdowns.

Dart had been deployed sporadically in the first three games for New York on read-option plays.
