Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel will return to America’s television screen Tuesday night after being indefinitely suspended by ABC for comments he made regarding Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin. Kirk was killed at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.
Despite the show’s resurrection from suspension, many affiliates will continue to boycott “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for its host’s controversial remarks.
After the ABC-owned Walt Disney Company released a statement that Kimmel would return, its affiliates, including Nexstar Media Group, Inc., which owns a significant portion of local ABC stations, issued a press release saying it would not air the show on Tuesday.
