Recently, Microsoft started testing the ability to use video wallpapers on Windows 11. The feature has been spotted in the latest Windows 11 builds, and it allows users to set video files, such as MP4 or MKV, as the desktop wallpaper.
The videos will play every single time you view your desktop, similar to how third-party solutions like Wallpaper Engine do. To provide some context, Microsoft previously supported video wallpapers in Windows Vista through a feature called DreamScene, available in the Ultimate version of Vista.
