A new season means new tasty treats from our favourite food spots, and McDonald's is no exception. However, the fast food giant has confirmed that it's had to axe an anticipated item from its menu after a "quality control issue". ‌

The restaurant chain confirmed it has pulled the new Caramel Loaded McFlurry from restaurants nationwide following customer complaints about the product, launched on September 10 as part of its seasonal offerings. ‌

The McFlurry was marketed as creamy dairy ice cream mixed with caramel chunks, white chocolate-coated shortbread bits, and milk chocolate pieces, finished with caramel sauce. ‌
