NEWPORT Ore. (KPTV) - A Montana man is facing felony charges after Newport police say he was caught secretly recording hotel guests with a hidden camera at a South Beach hotel earlier this month.

On Sept. 14, Newport Police were dispatched to the Holiday Inn Express in South Beach on a report of suspicious activity involving a former guest. Investigators learned that between Sept. 12-14, hotel staff had seen a man, later identified as Saben Robert McKinnon, 39, of Billings, Montana, placing a small camera under multiple guestroom doors.

Security footage captured McKinnon in the act, police say. The camera captured live video which was sent to his phone. Police said the recordings showed McKinnon repeating the act under several doors.
