A Navratri garba event in Surat was halted for about an hour after a group of Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad members reportedly stormed in, objecting to the presence of three Muslim drummers from a Mumbai-based musical band. This incident marks the second consecutive time the right-wing group has allegedly targeted the Swarna Navratri event in Surat for featuring Muslim musicians. ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW VIDEO

Later, the three drummers were allowed to continue performing after the event organisers apologised and assured them that they would not hire Muslim musicians for the event next year.

The incident took place at the Swarna Navratri event organised by Dhaval Munjani and Prince Patel at an open party plot in Surat city’s Vesu area on Monday night.
