A woman became stuck in a cruise ship's waterslide, which hangs nearly 50 meters above the ocean, while sailing along the Canadian coast. A 13-second video posted on TikTok by user @kaylamierzejewski on September 19 shows the woman trapped in a clear section of the tube slide. She attempts to shimmy forward while lying on her back. The video features the Jet2 Holiday jingle, commonly used in social media clips about unusual vacation experiences.

The video has gone viral, garnering 7.3 million views and nearly 10,000 comments. Many viewers expressed their discomfort with the situation. One user commented, "I’m so claustrophobic this is my worst nightmare," while another said, "I had a panic attack just watching this." Some viewers questioned why the woman did not try to crawl out. One user asked, "What am I missing? Can’t she roll over and start crawling?"

The incident likely occurred on one of Norwegian Cruise Line's Breakaway-class ships, such as the Bliss, Encore, or Joy. These vessels were reportedly traveling off the coast of British Columbia at the time, during separate voyages to Alaska and back to Seattle. The cruise line has been contacted for confirmation regarding the specific ship involved.

Each Breakaway-class ship features two waterslides, including the Ocean Loops, which is a double-loop slide that extends 11 feet off the side of the ship and 159 feet above the ocean. Riders must stand on a trap door above the slide, which releases them to gain momentum for the loops. To ride, individuals must be at least four feet tall and weigh between 120 and 300 pounds.

If a rider fails to complete the loops, they are not in any real danger. An alarm alerts ride attendants, who can then assist the rider by opening a hatch for an easy exit. A YouTube video from Attractions Magazine shows similar situations where riders were left in a similar predicament aboard the Encore.
