While interacting with contestant Asha Dhiryan, whom he described as an “adbhut mahila” (wonderful woman), the actor shared a joke that drew laughter from the studio audience.

During their conversation, Asha asked the host to praise his wife. Amitabh responded by saying that Jaya had already proven her patience over the years. “Deviji humare byaah ko 52 years ho gaye hain, baavan saal tak unhone humko jhela iss zyaada tareef kya ho sakti hai,” he said, adding that enduring him for over five decades was itself a compliment.
