A 61-year-old Reading man is in police custody after, officials said, a 31-year-old man was found dead, and the woman he lived with and her 1-year-old son were found slain, in separate locations.

According to Berks County officials, the investigation into these slaying began on Sept. 13, 2025, when officers in the area of Baer Park noticed a man lying in some brush along River Road.

Here, police said, officers discovered the body of 31-year-old Junior Cabrera-Colon after he had been shot in the head.
